Katherine is an Education Science and Technology professional with 17+ years of industry experience in corporate leadership development, training, and instructional design - servicing local, regional, national, and international teams within two major organizations. Her experience ranges from face to face training, blended learning, and distance education platforms. Katherine launched GUIDE while completing her education sciences degree from University of Florida. Through her studies, she has researched and analysized current learning theories and design principles that support the delivery of customized training solutions. She lives in North Palm Beach, FL with her boyfriend, and lifelong best friend, Blaine and their two loving pups: Sally and Bubba. She enjoys coaching volleyball, diving, live music, and volunteering in the Master Gardener Program in Palm Beach County.
Starting her professional training career at Bonefish Grill as a Regional Service and Beverage Director of Training overseeing North East Coastal Florida Restaurants, Katherine learned the passion of helping others reach their potential.Experience through Bonefish Grill gave her insight into the ability to elevate learning outcomes by focusing on the design of instruction and delivery. She then moved to another position as a National Training Director with a mission to positively impact the New Store Opening training process. Through that position, they discovered the unintended productivity benefit of effective learning strategies, quickly making an impact to the New Store Opening budget and helping achieve the executive growth and development goals. She made the move to Tampa to enter a new position of Training Content Developer as their instructional designer. In one year, she and her team of field training partners completed needs assessments, learner and goal analysis and produced an elevated and effective training program for all levels within the organization. Her contribution to ehnacing the Manager Training Program helped to decrese management turnover by 50% in the six months following implementation. She also partnered with the leadership professionals at Bloomin Brands to execute a distance educaiton leadership development program throughout all their sister-companies and the corportate home office employees.
Following her fourteen year tenure at Bonefish Grill, Katherine made a career move and joined the Hard Rock International team as thei Global Manager of Beverage Operations. The goal of her contribution was to support the food and beverage intitiatives as Hard Rock Cafes embarked on the greatest menu relaunch in their 50 year history. Katherine spearheaded the food and beverage training guides to implement this new menu to 170 cafes throughout the globe in 70 different countries.
While managing the training for the global menu launch at Hard Rock International, Katherine returned to school to earn a degree in Education Sciences in order to elevate her academic approach to instructional design. The pandemic crisis hit the hospitality world and her position was eliminated at Hard Rock International. This led to the founding of GUIDE (Global Unlimited Instructional Design and Education) in September 2020.
